How will your system affect my HVAC warranty?
Our wireless system, and the way in which it is installed, is unobtrusive and will not alter any of your legacy equipment. As a result, the manufacturer's warranty will not be affected.

How will my building be affected?
Physically, you may notice the addition of our equipment (small equipment boxes and small sensors) located in optimal locations in your building. Climatically, you will not notice any temperature changes. Our system is designed to provide optimal performance of your legacy HVAC equipment, without altering the interior climate.

Will I be able to control my building temperature myself?
Absolutely. You will have the same level of control as you have always had. However, you should realize that adjustments in temperature will affect the savings in your billing. Our system will always run to the optimum conditions under the demand placed on it. By deviating from the normal historical temperatures (i.e. setting your system colder in the summer and hotter in the winter), the baseline measurement is altered. Savings will always be provided by our system relative to the demands placed on it.

Do you have insurance?
Yes. Our insurance coverage is $3 million and provided by Travelers Insurance.

What happens if your system breaks down?
Any faults in our equipment will be automatically identified and an alert will be sent to our technical team and client. The technical team has the ability to reset the equipment remotely, which will fix most issues that may occur. If the reset attempt fails, an E2 technician will be dispatched as soon as possible to troubleshoot and repair the fault. Our equipment is programmed with an automatic bypass. The legacy equipment will revert to its pre-managed state and your equipment will function as it did prior to our influence.

How can you prove that I am saving money?
Our system has a real-time monitoring capability. With our sensors connected to your equipment, it constantly knows what your legacy equipment would be demanding without our influence. This information is graphed in our monitoring program and compared to the demands managed by our equipment. At any time, you have the ability to see how your system would be operating with and without our system's influence.

Do you Guarantee savings?
We guarantee that you will use less electricity with our system than you would without it. However we cannot guarantee that your bill will be lower than before, because there are too many variables such as exterior climate, energy rate increases, changes in requested interior temperature, legacy equipment faults and the possible addition of energy consuming devices in your building. But, you will be saving money and energy with our system's influence in any circumstance. This is proven by the science behind the technology and is supported by Major Electric Companies, such as Progress Energy, providing incentives to install our system.

Anyone can create a chart. How do I know that it is actually saving me money?
The green line on our monitoring system is determined by the readings supplied by your company's pulse. The readings on our Monitoring are exactly the same value that your power company reads. The red line is determined by adding the demand that was being requested by the legacy equipment at any given point in time. The vertical difference between the two indicates the demand savings. The area between the two is an indication of your consumption savings.

I have a BEMS. Will your system be compatible?
Yes. Our system will independently act as a supplement to your existing controls and provide intelligent management, with a reduction in energy used and savings. In most cases, we will need to contact Johnson Controls to discuss coordinating the systems.

Can you get your system without the monitoring?
Our system is available without the monitoring. However, the monitoring provides the preventative maintenance alerts and free software upgrades, which are invaluable. The preventative Maintenance Alerts could generate an appreciable amount of savings. If you pay for two years upon installation, we'll add an additional year of monitoring at no charge.

I have Variable Speed Drives on my system. Is your system Compatible?
Absolutely. VSDs increase the efficiency of your individual units, as they allow the unit to run at variable speeds, not just at full speed. Our system creates an intelligent network of the individual units allowing them to function together in the most efficient manner.

How can I pay for your system?
Utility Incentives, Tax Deductions all help to pay for the E2 America technology. There are two ways: the system may be paid for with a 30% - 50% deposit and the balance at time of install. We also have a 100% lease finance option, with a 60-month term and a $1 buy out. With the Lease Option, you will save on the first month, after the install, as you can pay the Lease amount out of your savings. The remaining savings left over go directly into your pocket.

What happens if you go out of business in five years?
E2 America is more likely to be the dominant player in the Clean-Tech industry than to be out of business. Our equipment is state-of-the-art electronics and has a design life of 25 years. The servers will continue to be in operation and your savings will continue.

Where does your system get power?
Our system is entirely low voltage and takes power from the existing thermostats. Some of our sensors are powered by batteries, with a design life of 10 years.

What happens if one of my HVAC units needs to be replaced?
If one of your units is replaced during the 25 year design life of our equipment, all that is required is a service call to reinstall our equipment and reprogram for a minimal fee. The fee will depend on our hourly rates at the time of required service. If the existing MC2 is no longer compatible, a new MC2 will be built and installed for a minimal upgrade cost.

If you turn off my AC when I don't need it and the ambient temperature drops won't all the refrigeration in the building have to work harder to stay cool? Doesn't this erode any savings you achieve by switching off the AC with your system?
The AC will not be "turned off". It will be managed so that the temperature is brought to an optimum condition for energy savings. We read the energy parameters coming into the building. This includes the energy used by the refrigeration. Our system will optimize the overnight temps to provide the greatest savings. The most likely optimum temperature would not involve shutting off the AC, as that would require overcoming the heat load in the morning.

My building is only open one day of the week. How can your system help me?
Yes, we can still help. Your peak demand will occur on the day of the week that you are open. Your energy supplier bills you monthly, on a one time peak demand. The influence of our system will still manage your peak and save you money. On the days that you are closed, our system will still provide intelligent management and decrease your consumption, which results in less energy use and additional savings.
